Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan Province, is an important cultural, scientific, economic, and political center in China. Golden Temple

First constructed in 1602, the Golden Temple is situated in Mingfeng Mountains, about 7km from Kunming City. It is the biggest Taoist Tongwa Temple that has remained intact even today. The temple with its beautiful engravings and colorful paintings was built of 200 tons of bronze. You will also find the 14-ton, 2.1 meters tall “Great Bell of the Ming Yongle Era” hanging behind the temple.

Being located in the scenic Western Hills, this stone-carved edifice features beautiful stone Buddhist figures, stone grottos, and stone paths all exhibiting magnificent artistry on a natural rock. Stand on the cliff and look downward to enjoy the panoramic view of the steep hill as well as the Dianchi Lake.

Anning Hot Spring

Discovered in 41-44 AD, during the period of Eastern Hans, Anning Hot Spring has a rich history of 2000 years. Today it has been transformed into a holiday resort attracting many tourists throughout the year. The spring has clear, odor-free water with a temperature of 40°C-50°C, effective against chronic gastritis, dermatitis, insomnia, gastric ulcers, injuries, and other diseases.

Yuantong Temple

With a history of 1200 years, the downtown Yuantong Temple is one of the largest and oldest temples in Kunming. The construction of the temple originally started during the Tang rule. However, the temple was destroyed and reconstructed from scratch during the Yuan rule. This is the only place of worship in China, where you will find all the three classifications of Chinese Buddhism brought together under one roof.

Yunnan Ethnic Village

This is the place where the customs and culture of people with different ethnicity merge in Yunnan Province.
