Showcasing Travel Video Guides

I’m a big fan of travel video site Travelistic, so I had a surf around the site and I thought I’d update you on some of the excellent travel video guides that are now available on this site.

Showcasing Travel Video Guides

If your looking to for ideas and inspiration for your next holiday, then it’s worth a visit to Travelistic and watching some of their travel video guides. After a search around the video site I came across travel video guides on Hanoi in Vietnam, Windsurfing in Maui and Madrid on a budget.

Watch a superb video of Sabah, Malaysia, on Select World Travel – I just love that country. No longer do you have to rely on a picture in an holiday brochure to help you make the decision on where to go and where to stay with sites like Travelistic, YouTube and Select World Travel who provide professional and amateur holiday video guides.

Select World Travel Holiday Show

As regular readers will be aware, in November I attended the Travolution Conference, and World Travel Market in London. Well, next on my calendar of events, is a visit to the Select World Travel Holiday Show, which is taking place in Malvern at the Malvern Theatres on the 28 January 2007.

Select World Travel Holiday Show

Exhibitors include Beachcomber, Sunvil Holidays, P&O Cruise Lines, and Virgin Holidays, and the show is free, so if your in need of some holiday inspiration and in the Malvern area, or fancy a drive down to the Cotswolds then visit the show – it sounds like a travel show worth visiting.

Increase in Air Passenger Duty from February 2007

Readers, expect to pay more for your flights, with the news that our wonderful UK government (please feel the sarcasm) will increase air passenger duty by 7% from February 2007.

Increase in Air Passenger Duty from February 2007

According to Guardian Unlimited, £10 per economy class passenger, for short haul flights, and £40 for long haul flights will be passed directly onto ticket prices by airlines.

Another kick in the nuts for us travellers.

Your Travel Experiences for 2006

I’ve been on some great trips this year, visiting the Lake District, Prague, Paris and the Greek Island of Kos. I’m working my way through a list of destinations that I just have to visit before I’m 40! I’ll be 34 (I know I don’t look it!) in February 2007, so only six more years to go, and over 20 destinations on my list.

Your Travel Experiences for 2006

Planned in for February 2007 is a trip to Oslo, Norway, but I need some inspiration from you all to help me choose two other destinations, that will fit within my measly travel bloggers salary. So readers where would you like me to visit and write about, and where have have you travelled to in 2006?
