Zhuhai is a prefecture level city sitting on the lap of the Pearl River Delta. New Yuanming Palace
The palace is a re-embodiment of the imperial Yuanming Palace in Beijing. The palace originally used to hold the favorite gardens of the late emperors of the Qing dynasty. Plays are also organized here namely, Emperor At The Morning Assembly, Emperor Choosing Concubines. This also was the Summer Palace of the Qing and Ming dynasty emperors.
Statue of Fisher Girl
Located in the scenic Xianglu Bay, this structure has become Zhuhai’s landmark. Sculpted by Chinese sculptor, Panhe the granite statue is 8.7 meters high and weighs 10 tons. The statue is of a girl draped in a fishing net, in an elegant pose with a bright pearl in her raised hands, symbolizing Zhuhai’s brightness.
Mei Xi Royal Stone Archways
Built in the 19th century covering an area of 126000 square meters this tourist attraction is located in the Mei Xi village of Qianshan province. The former residence of Chen Fang, Mei Xi Pai Fang and the Chen’s Garden and Cemetery make up this location. Each of the arches are almost 12 feet tall and 12 feet wide.
Pearl Amusemnt Park
Spread over 400000 square meters of land, this amusement park is situated by Tangija Bay facing the sea and enclosed by the mountains. The park is famous for its exquisite architectural design, blooming gardens and exotic atmosphere.
Reminiscent with the history of more than 270 years this frontier naval fortress of Zhuhai is also known as the “Kingdom Of Plants.” Originally being used as a frontier garrison since 1729, it still possesses rusted cannons sitting atop the rocky coast facing the South China Sea. Scuba diving, Surfing and sailing are some of the water based activities carried out in this tranquil escape into Nature.
This temple was established in the late south Song Dynasty and expanded by the Qing rulers. Situated on top of the Huangyang Mountain this temple is frequented by many Buddhist pilgrims and tourists. Sprawling over 3000 square meters this temple has three entrances that lead inside. The building is characterized by its orange colored tile decoration in the interiors.
Zhuhai International Circuit
This is Asia’s newest and best six A-Level track circuit covering an area of 4 square kilometers. The track is a total of 4.32 kilometers with 12 meter width for straight sections and 14 meters for the rest.
Shijing Mountain Park
The mountain peak nurtured by a legend was originally named “the mountain of Xiniuwangyue( the rhinoceros looking up to the Moon)”. It is famed for its exotic stone scenery and plush green landscapes of covering 6000 square meters in extraordinary valor and majestic manner.
