Firstly, apologies for the lack of activity around here lately, there are going to be a few changes, but more on that later. Life has become rather hectic, with little time to rant, but today, I want to share an experience my friend had when searching for a long haul flight to Australia on the high street.
Shop around for the best priced long haul flights
Huge savings on long haul flight
He visited a travel agency and received a quote £500 per person cheaper than the agency around the corner. So what you might say, but the flight was with the same airline, and the departure date was just 24 hours earlier.
Walking 500 yards saved him a total of £2,000 for the flights, a huge saving.

He found the big difference between the two agencies was that the one that was more expensive gave the impression that they wanted him out of the door as quick as he walked in, where as the cheaper flight, the travel agent spent quality time looking through various flight options.
Find an agency that wants to help
Therefore, my tip is, if you go to a travel agency, and they seem to want to rush you in and out quickly, do not waste your time, visit an agency that wants to sit down with you and help you find the best deal. You can quickly tell how helpful the travel agent is going to be.
Share your experiences
Have you shopped around and found a great deal? Do you find that high-street travel agencies want to get you in and out and quickly as they can? As usual, I am interested to read your experiences when booking with travel agencies.
